you can end the harbinger map before you get loot or a point for the harbinger daily (All Platforms)

after harbinger dies just press g and the map is over before the chests spawn

Yep.Also you will not get last portion of exp cause of it.

Nor do you get credit for the daily. Current workaround is be patient. :-)

Although you can't ready up anymore since the latest hotfix, the 'Press G to ready' still appears at the top.
