Wayfarer weapon scale on current best hero gear (Windows)
The wayfarer weapons scale on the gear of the best equiped hero. But the weapons have no limit on it. It is possible to get higher weapons out of him that way then what you can drop. As an example if you have fully upgraded C7 gear, you can buy a C8 base weapon of the wayfarer, upgrade this weapon and equip it and then buy another weapon of the wayfarer. This new weapon now has higher ipw/sell value again. Upgrade this weapon and equip it and buy another weapon of the wayfarer and notice it has even higher ipw/sell value.
With that it is easily possible to skip content and progress very very fast through progression through chaos. You can literally buy ipw and battlepower to gain easier gear. If you just do it once, farm way higher loot drop then, and after equiping them buy another you can reach max gear over chaos in just a few maps.
This is only doable to a certain degree because of how the system calculates the average ipw of the items for loot drops. But because it is possible players can achieve way stronger gear and faster progression then normaly.
because that is an exploit, i would suggest not to release this imediatly. Repro Chance: 100% Steps for Bug Repro:
start the game
have maxed gear on
buy a weapon from the wayfarer, upgrade it also to max
notice you have now a way stronger weapon
equip it
buy a new weapon from the wayfarer
notice the power increased again
Expected Results: There is a max power also on wayfarer weapons.
This is being fixed, issue going to be left open to try and avoid further abuse of the issue.
